Ryan Suk, PhD, MS

Assistant Professor
Dr.Ryan Suk is a health economist/ decision scientist by training. Dr. Suk's research focuses on HPV-associated cancer prevention and control as well as supportive care in cancer survivorship. She is especially interested in integrating economic evaluation, community engagement, and AI-driven approaches to optimize resource allocation by developing and implementing navigation and information tools and actionable decision rules to enhance the cancer care continuum.

Maryam Kheirandish, PhD, MS
Postdoctoral Fellow (2024~ )
Dr. Maryam Kheirandish holds a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Her doctoral research focused on expanding data analytics techniques to enhance tuberculosis treatment, a pivotal global health challenge.
Maryam's research is at the intersection of statistical modeling, machine and deep learning, and stochastic dynamic programming, with a focus on risk-based decision-making in healthcare operations. Her dissertation explored the complexities of predicting tuberculosis treatment outcomes through advanced data analytics, addressing the challenges of modeling irregular multivariate longitudinal health data, quantifying prediction uncertainty in neural networks, and developing non-stationary reinforcement learning algorithms.
She aspires to contribute significantly to the fields of healthcare quality improvement and patient outcome prediction and optimization through her innovative research, aiming for impactful advancements in global health initiatives.

Hyejoong (Marie) Lee, PharmD
Research Trainee (2025~ )
Dr. Hyejoong Marie Lee recently earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, with prior training in Statistics in South Korea.
Marie's research interests include health outcomes research, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics, with a focus on cancer and chronic disease prevention. She is passionate about applying real-world evidence to inform health policy and improve patient care.
