Priyadarsini (Priya) Dasari is a PhD student in the Department of Management, Policy, and Community Health at UTHealth School of Public Health. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Andhra Medical College, India (2005), a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Sheffield, UK (2010), and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Houston, USA (2020). She is a Health Economist trained in economic modeling and evaluation looking for more experience in the field of Public Health, Health Policy, and Health Economics specifically related to mental health. She is a skilled health services researcher trained in analyzing large databases such as administrative claims, patient registries, national surveys, and EHR to examine health care utilization behaviors, their clinical outcomes, and economic consequences. She is also a primary care physician with 8 years of overall experience in clinical practice, statistical analysis, epidemiological surveillance, capacity building, program management, program evaluation, and policy evaluation working for the public sector in India. Priya loves to cook and enjoys reading, music, and traveling.
